Q: Where can I download the registration form and know all the rules and how to apply?
A: Registration form and information are available on How to participate? mainly in English; but don’t hesitate to check also the website of your national association.

Q: Where should I send my script?
A: Persons wishing to compete must send their script, plus the completed application form, to the NISI MASA group located in their own country (See ‘Organisers’) – both by post and by email.

Q: I’m 28 years old – approaching 29 – am I eligible?
A: Yes, provided that you are still 28 years of age on the closing date of the competition: July, 31st, 2009.

Q: We are two co-writers, is that a problem? If my co-writer is more than 28 years old, can we still participate?
A: Co-writers can submit a common script to our competition, but only one can register their name. The two candidate should be between 18 and 28 years of age on the closing date of the competition.

Q: If my script exceeds 20 000 characters, will it be disqualified?
A: Yes. The scripts must absolutely not exceed 20 000 characters.

Q: By ‘’20 000 characters’’, do you mean with or without spaces?
A: With spaces and punctuation marks.

Q: Do we have to use a specific font?
A: You should use Courier (or New Courier), size 12. For more formal details, read the guidelines.

Q: Since it’s a European contest, do I have to write my script in English?
A: No. You can write in your native language as long as it’s one of the following official languages of the competition: Albanian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, English, Finnish, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish.

Q: I’m an Italian citizen, living in Belgium. If I compete in Belgium, can I send also my script to the Italian association?
A: No. Competitors must send their script to only one association in one country according to their nationality or country of residency.

Q: Can a scriptwriter send more than one script if he/she wants to participate?
A: No, the number of original scripts per person is limited to one per competitor.

Q: I participated in the NISI MASA contest last year and I would like to try again. Can I do that?
A: Yes, you can participate several years in a row, unless you are one of the winners of a past NISI MASA script contest.

Q: What is RTF format?
A: RTF (Rich Text Format) is simply a document file format (like Word). Most word processors are able to read and write RTF documents. The file extension is “.rtf”.

Q: What should be written on the front-page of the script?
A: The title of the script, the name of the author and his/her email address and phone number.
